Perfect Everyday Neutrals: Smooth, Blendable, and Foolproof 👍
I’ve tried A LOT of neutral palettes, and definitely consider the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics palette to be a staple worth investing in.In fact, when they went on sale during the Black Friday/Holiday season, I got a couple as gifts for some of the emerging makeup enthusiasts in my life!Here’s what I love about it (and some considerations for if you’re trying to decide if it belongs in your makeup bag!)What makes it a yes for me:✅ The Perfect Cool-Toned Neutrals – Unlike warm-toned palettes that can pull orange, these shades are beautifully taupe-based, making them flattering for a wide range of skin tones. These shades work for both my every day eye for the office and more dramatic but sophisticated smokey looks.✅ Velvety and Blend-able – The mattes are buttery smooth, non-patchy, and layer like a dream (No chalkiness or fallout issues!)✅ Foolproof for most Skill Levels – Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, the shade range is versatile yet simple, and totally complementary making it almost impossible to mess up.✅ Travel, Transition and Day Bag Friendly – With a full range of color in a compact package, this one stays in my travel makeup bag— not just for intermittent touch ups, but as a game changer to easily alter my look if I’m going from the office to happy hour (again, these colors blend and complement each other well! I layer Frisk, Skimp and Undone for my day look, and blend out the skimp with a little more undone for evenings eyes!). It’s also my favorite to travel with when I want to travel in comfort, but need to do a quick eye getting off the plane on business travel.I know some reviews shared that it broke easily, but for me, this palette has been sturdy and no fuss rolling around in my makeup bag (picture attached)A Few Things to Note:⚠️ If you prefer warm-toned shadows, you might find this palette leans too cool. (If that’s the case, the Naked Basics 1 might be a better fit!)⚠️ There’s no shimmer or highlight shade, so if you like some glow, you may want to pair it with a separate shimmer. (My splurge that stays in my bag with this palette is Urban Decay moon dust in Lithium)Final Verdict: For me, it’s a staple palette that’s reliable, blendable, and perfect for everyday wear. If you love neutrals with a cool, sophisticated undertone, this is a 5-star must-have!

Lasts so long, colors are great!
This mini palette was perfect for travel. I took it on my trip to Mexico and the colors were perfect for someone who prefers neutrals. It was compact and lightweight, so it didn’t take up as much space in my makeup bag as my other palettes do. I have fair skin with strong red undertones, and these colors looked natural on me. I also have super oily lids and can struggle with lots of smudging and fallout, but there wasn’t much of that. The eyeshadows have such a velvety texture, they layered beautifully without looking chalky. Mexico was HUMID, but these shades lasted a full 8 hour day (with primer and setting spray). The mirror is also a perfect addition to the palette, it’s very sturdy and clear. This is great as a starter palette for someone just getting in to makeup, or as a travel palette for regular eyeshadow users.

Small but pretty
Definitely smaller than it seems online (only about 4-5 inches long), but it’s perfect for weekend travel & the colors are very pretty. They’re not crazy pigmented, but they have the perfect amount of pigment for a natural looking or understated Smokey eye. Ultimately happy with the purchase.

Urban Decay Delivers Again
As always, urban decay delivers. The powder is very smooth and goes on easily. I mistakenly chose one of the darker colors and panicked because I thought it was too dark but once blended, it turned out absolutely fine. There’s a very nice selection of nude or almost nude colors, which is what I was looking for. I have some older collections of urban decay and I love them. I wish they would stop changing their color options because I wasn’t able to buy any of the previous iterations of the colors I had but the smoothness that this goes on and the color selection is excellent. I don’t wear eyeshadow very often, but this will be one of my go to what I do.
