Product description

This fabulous tagua necklace is comprised of five tagua chips, with rind on the edges, tied together with a black cotton cord. A macramé in the back makes it adjustable giving it the versatility of being worn long or short (measures 35″ from tip to tip). Two tagua fragments finish it off at the back, one at each end tip. This tagua nut necklace is natural, fun, uncommon, and goes well with any outfit. The tagua beads used are organic and vegan, pure vegetable ivory. Tagua nut jewelry for women makes the perfect gift for any occasion.
The Process: from dried Tagua seed to chic Tagua jewelry

Tagua Seed Sprouting into Palm Tree
When ripe, Tagua seeds sprout into “tagua palm trees” (these palm trees grow in the rainforests of Colombia). They produce the Tagua fruit, which carries the fresh Tagua seeds perpetuating the cycle.

Dried Tagua Seeds
After drying, Tagua seeds become rock solid resembling ivory in color, texture and hardness, hence their nickname: “Vegetable Ivory”. These hard seeds are polished in a tumbler, cut, dyed, and shaped into beads that become Florama’s natural jewelry

From dried Tagua seeds to chic Tagua jewelry
Our Tagua jewelry is natural, vegan, and organic. Handmade from “vegetable Ivory”…A unique gift from mother nature to your body

S. Martin –
Thin
The Tagus chips are too thin. They are constantly turning over and it’s hard to be sure the best side is facing up. Otherwise great.
