Let me start by saying that I have tried more than my fair share of hair curling tools over the years. From traditional curling irons to the newest automatic gadgets, I’ve experimented with almost everything on the market. My most recent purchase before trying the Tymo was a curling iron from Laniege, which I actually found pretty easy to use and was generally happy with.However, after using the Tymo, I can honestly say there is a noticeable difference in the quality of curls it produces. The curls from the Tymo look smoother, more defined, and they actually last longer throughout the day. What really sets this tool apart is how beginner friendly it is. I am not someone who wants to spend a lot of time doing my hair. If it takes more than ten minutes, I usually skip it altogether. With the Tymo, I can finish curling my whole head in under that time, which is a huge plus.The device does most of the work for you. You simply place a small section of hair into the narrow slot, and it automatically curls it and even beeps when it is done. It really takes the guesswork out of curling, which is perfect for someone like me who just wants quick and reliable results without fuss.The only downside I have noticed is that you cannot put too much hair into the tool at once. You need to work with smaller sections, which can feel a little tedious if you are in a big rush. Also, when curling your own hair, especially the back sections, it can be a bit tricky to maneuver your hair into the slot properly.That being said, I often help my daughter curl her hair, and I find it much easier to use on someone else than on myself. So if you are curling someone else’s hair, it is even more straightforward and effective.Overall, this is one of the best curling tools I have ever used. It is easy, fast, and gives salon quality results without needing a ton of effort. I definitely recommend it, especially for busy people or anyone who struggles with traditional curling irons.

Incredible Tool But Not Foolproof
This device is very innovative and the best “automatic” curling iron I’ve used by far. It’s not like pioneering models that slurped your hair into a casing like a tape measure and you couldn’t see what was going on to make adjustments or clear the “printer jam.” By design you can see straight into the unit and how your hair is distributed. I got the long-barreled version, and it can easily handle my ribcage length hair, and I can see that it’s not overlapping around the wand, which results in a very uniform, beautiful spiral curl. If your hair is very long and you want literal curls, I recommend getting the 1-inch barrel because the weight of your hair is going to stretch out and loosen the curls. It’s better to look like Bo Peep for an hour than have my effort wasted.Is this a time saver? Yes and no. This is a much more efficient way to wrap hair around the wand. On the flip side, you need to be much more deliberate about sectioning. With a clipless wand it doesn’t matter so much if some sections are a little large. You can be a little haphazard, which is itself a time saver. With this device you need small, neat sections, and you have to make sure the entire lock of hair is fully inserted into the groove or it WILL tangle. (This is easy to correct because you can see inside, but in my experience the device did not stop spinning on its own, and it’s a do-over.) That said, as long as the whole piece is inserted near your scalp, this handles layers beautifully without letting shorter pieces drop out. I did find that during removal I sometimes needed to hold the hair at the base to slide it off without yanking, which you can see in many “amateur” videos but not the promotional ones.Basically this is a wonderful design that is actually fun to use and makes it easier to get uniform curls. Someone complained in comments that because it wraps your ends last, they get less heat. That’s the idea. Your ends are fragile, and curling the tips under can look dated, crispy, and unnatural.I would not say this is necessarily a panacea for people who can’t manage a traditional curling iron at all. You still need the patience and coordination to section properly and keep already-curled hair separate from uncurled hair as you work, even at the back of your head. That has a learning curve too. On the plus side, it is hard to scald yourself with this, and as someone still waiting for an old burn on my neck to fade, I appreciate that.

Best hair curler on the market!
I gave into the hype and finally got it. I’m so glad I did. It took a little to get the hang of how to use it but after a few sections I got the hang of it. Was so easy and quick and almost mindless because of the auto curling mechanism and timer to let you know when to release your curls. Does get a bit warm but not hot on your hands and absolutely no burning of your scalp or fingers versus the old method. Gave me soft uniform curls and once combed through perfect body waves. This curler makes curling my entire head of hair effortless in less time. Love it and highly recommend!

arrivato in un giorno! per me è fantastico! ho aspettato un po’ per acquistarlo.. ero un po’ titubante.. ma devo dire che sono veramente molto soddisfatta! facile da usare e fa dei boccoli meravigliosi che poi scendono e diventano delle onde morbidissime. non strappa i capelli e non si inceppa. per me consigliatissimo!
