Calf shaft is narrow …if you have skinny legs this might be for you. I returned them, would have kept if they zipped

So glad I bought these boots! They fit perfectly around my calves, and they’re really comfortable to wear. They’re sturdy too, and they don’t slide down. I wore them to take the dog out for a run around the fields and I can confirm that they don’t leak when you walk in wet/slightly marshy grass for a couple of hours. My socks stayed lovely and dry. It was cold and I wore two pairs of socks and two pairs of leggings and the boots still felt comfortable (and warm). I’ll see how they hold up in that regard, as they’re brand new at the moment. I’d really recommend using the size chart and a measuring tape before you buy. It seems the bigger the shoe size, the higher the boot sits on your leg. The measurements on the size chart are accurate. It’s not easy to find nice boots when your feet are normally a UK size 8-9, you’ve got robust calves, you’re 5ft6inches tall, and you want your boots to come up to your knees and not slide down at all, but these boots are perfect, especially at this price.
