Poorly make part!!!
This was a replacement cap for the tank. The thread went all the way to the bottom so no under cut for the gasket. The gasket they gave was under size and when the cap is put on the seal was not completed and the tank leaked. I would not buy another.

Used on a 2000 Mercury EFI 200 HP
The cap still leaked no matter how tight I tightened it. May be something slight with the tank is why I still gave it 4 stars. The gasket for these caps are so thin (just like the original) that it doesn’t compensate for anything that may be off. I replaced the gasket with a thicker one and was able to stop it from leaking.

Poor quality part, shouldve walked away after the 1st failure
This part is awefulThe washer inside the cap is too pliable and slips out of the place is supposed to be leading to oil seeping out the top of the cap. Then if you tighten it down as one would do, the cap cracks on the top, and is then worthless. I’ve bought 3 of these so I guess this is more on me being an idiot then them having a poor quality product. I wont be buying this again, I’ll be buying the oem part.And just so we all know, this time I took it to a certified blackmax mechanic who broke the cap after replacing the washer to solve that problem.Spend the extra $30 to get a better quality part!

Alarm doesn’t sound like factory part
Unit technically works but doesn’t work like factory. Factory unit sounds off once floater hits a certain point and doesn’t stop even if volume drops only if volume in tank rises. New part gets to one point and goes off but once fluid level falls below that point alarm stops sounding off. If someone else had this engine they could easily burn up motor. Thankfully I’m smart enough to know once it goes off to shut it off. First install it leaked like all other reviews. Took back off and noticed gasket wasn’t installed in grove of cap correctly. Put gasket in correctly and leak stopped.

Part didn’t last a month once installed.
After 20+ years I had to replace the old part because it was leaking. I put the new one on and cranked the motor and it appeared to work. Due to a flood in our home, we hadn’t used the boat since it was repaired. Yesterday, I we tried to start the boat, but an alarm kept sounding off. We found the new cap had split. And I was careful not to over tighten it when it was installed. Not if the part was brittle because it had been on the shelf a long time or just defective. Any way, Amazon says it’s too late to return it even though we really never were able to use it.

Le bouchon d’huile de remplacement est de mauvaise qualité. Nous l’avons acheté en août 2022. Donc à l’automne, avant d’hiverniser le bateau.Il a été vissé qu’une seule fois et maintenant il fuit au mois de juin 2023.
